About Us

About Us!

Zombii is a pop punk band that has been delivering high energy shows for over a decade. Zombii has played across more than half of the country. From small DIY spaces to large festivals.

Their fourth full-length album, Fail Harder, was released on Damaged Heart Records, drawing inspiration from bands such as Off With Their Heads, The Bouncing Souls, and Rancid, with a touch of ‘90s pop punk influence. Originally featuring Jeremy Zombii, Zachary Yost, and Ray Hilton, the band has since welcomed Matt Menno on guitar and Kevin Gaffey on bass, further enhancing their sound. With dual guitars and heavy bass driving their melodies, Zombii continues to refine their sound and push boundaries.

Recently releasing their “Chasing Ghosts” EP in spring of 2025, the band is currently finishing up their next full length album with a release scheduled for late summer 2026.

Recently Zombii has embraced a slightly heavier sound while maintaining their signature energy.

Jeremy Zombii

Jeremy Zombii was born in Dallas, Texas, and has been a guitarist from the very start of his musical life. He played his first show at just sixteen years old with his early band Jerk, stepping into the punk world with a guitar in his hands and a drive to perform. He later moved into the punk band Dextrometh, and when that project went on hiatus, he continued pushing forward by joining another punk band as a drummer, expanding his skill set while still rooted in guitar as his primary instrument.

After relocating to Connecticut, Jeremy joined a band with guitarist Ines Segarra, and from that collaboration he eventually branched off with bassist James Golymbieski to form Death on Arrival. By 2010, the earliest version of Zombii began to take shape, fully solidifying in 2013 with Bruce Toth on bass and Ray Hilton on drums. As Zombii grew, Jeremy stepped into the role he is best known for today: guitarist, vocalist, and the driving creative force behind the band’s sound.

Over the years, Jeremy has become a steady and recognizable presence in the Connecticut music scene, contributing through Zombii, his solo acoustic work, his efforts as a promoter, and his reputation as a reliable sound engineer. His long involvement in local punk communities reflects a genuine commitment to the music and the people who keep the scene alive.

Ray Hilton

Ray Hilton was raised in Hamden, CT and got his start in high school, playing bass and guitar in a band called Stomp Cat. When the group couldn’t lock down a drummer, he slid behind the kit himself, and it didn’t take long for drums to become his main focus. He stayed active in the Connecticut punk scene, playing wherever he could and sharpening his style along the way.

In 2013, Ray joined Zombii on drums, bringing a mix of power and personality that helped shape the band’s sound. Over the years he’s built a reputation for his tight, energetic playing, earning endorsements from SJC Custom Drums, Saluda Cymbals, and WB Gear.

Outside of Zombii, Ray has filled in with bands like Always Grounded and Dread These Days, making him a familiar face in both the CT punk and metal scenes.

Matt Menno

Matt Menno picked up guitar in 2007. He played in a NY punk band Between You and Me and later played in We All Die, plus a handful of other projects he filled in for over the years, including Brochacho.

Outside of band life, Matt headed west and graduated from San Francisco State with a degree in Broadcasting and Electronic Communication Arts. He interned at The Brewery Recording Studio in Brooklyn, worked live sound for a bunch of shows, and basically stayed involved in music from every angle he could.

Matt eventually joined Zombii, bringing guitar and backup vocals shaped by years of grinding through bands, practice spaces, and scenes on both coasts.

Kalyn Grimm

Kalyn Grimm has been out on the road with Zombii for many tours, running the merch table like she’s been doing it her whole life. With years of vending experience, she keeps things moving no matter how chaotic the day gets.

When she’s not out with us, Kalyn is an accomplished tattoo artist at Artisan Tattoo in Virginia Beach. She brings her own energy and attitude to the band, the kind that makes long drives easier, keeps the mood up, and, depending on the day, reminds us to get our shit together. She’s more than just our merch girl; she’s part of the family
